Brilliant boots and yes-waterproof-very! Submerged 8-10 cms deep over 30 kms multiple times and no water ingress. These are a lighter weight and lower version of the Quests, same sole, and you can wear them with low hiking socks. Size 10.5 weigh 620 gms they do not feel heavy at all! If these remain durable for a couple of years I really could not fault them. Of course a review after 65 kms can only tell you of the comfort -outstanding and support-which is also outstanding. Perfect for Australian feet, wide at the front and narrowish at the back (due to all the barefoot walking we do as kids). Price and delivery exemplary I ordered these after previously buying an EXOS rucksack from Webtogs and sent an email query to ensure that if the boots failed that they would cover the cost of return delivery. They said yes no problem so I trusted them and purchased. I am now probably going to use Webtogs as my first stop shopping spot for my walking needs. Quality as 4 stars only as I don't have enough Ks on them to really assess durability as yet. Quality and durability for me are the same thing but they are very well made sown/ glued/assembled. No Marks/Faults at all. Super neat really but time will tell.

The boots came remarkably quickly and were well-packaged. They fit well and seem very sturdy. This is the first time I have tried the Salomon brand, as usually I buy Keens. Alas, Webtogs didn't have any in my size. However, the Salomon's grip well and are supportive and comfortable. They seem quite durable too, which is great because I am quite hard on my walking boots. :)

PERFECT FIT. WORN FOR THREE DAYS FROM THE BOX WITH OUT ANY WATER PROOF TREATMENT AND HAD A WET FOOT at the end of the 3rd day, HAVE SINCE TREATED THE BOOTS AND THOUGH ITS BEEN WET UNDERFOOT NO WET FEET AS YET. So the jury remains out!

These look and feel like a good solid boot, very comfortable to wear, and very easy to walk in. However, one of the most important reasons for buying a waterproof boot is to keep the water out. These failed dreadfully - after a day in the Brecons in light rain, my feet were soaked through. This is very disappointing as I have owned Salomon before and they lasted me for years. If you are planning walks which avoid water, then these are good value for money but as soon as it becomes wet underfoot, I fear you would do better with a different product.
