The Montane Men's Minimus Jacket is a dream come true to those who want to bring weight down without compromising on any performance. In fact the Minimus although weighing just over 200g has a hydrostatic head of 20,000mm which means that it's very waterproof, and has an MVTR rating of 25,000 which corresponds to its breathability.
So, what you get with the Minimus is a super-light, highly waterproof and highly breathable jacket. Montane have not skipped out on any of the features either by adding water resistant zips down the front and on the map sized chest pocket so your essentials will stay nice and dry along with the rest of your upper body. The roll away hood with reinforced wired peak will keep the rain off your head and face during nasty weather so you can plough on regardless.

The Montane Minimus jacket is very light weight with fully taped seems, it has a nice adjustable hood and fits as it should, I am a medium, which is what I ordered and it fitted nicely over a flees without leaving too much loose to flap in the wind. I have many Montane products and always found their quality to be good. I would not carry a rucksack with this light a jacket, of any make as I think it would damage the waterproof lining fairly quickly. Great jacket.

Great jacket, super lightweight and waterproof. Looks great like all Montane. Fit is quite slim so might be a bit tight on people who are medium but on the tubby side. Would recommend to anyone and have already

I bought this jacket to wear over a mid-layer for walking and hiking in stormy but not torrential rain.So far it has served me well and is handy to carry in a backpack as it fits into it's own pocket carrier. It has one map carrying breast pocket but no side pockets, which I imagine helps to reduce the weight. I have worn it a couple of times in heavy rain and it has let in small amounts of water around the shoulders, but from my experience of wearing more expensive waterproofs, this is something hikers live with.

The first time I wore that garment it leaked. The weather conditions were wind 80 km/h and it was snowing. Montane minimus jacket is not a good product.
