This is my second pair of Merrell Moab walking shoes. They are great - really comfortable, with a good grip. The sizing is excellent thanks to the roomy toe-box which makes them perfect for a shortish but wide UK size 4 foot such as mine (so many other supposed size 4s are much too long). I wear them for 3 dog walks daily, usually over open ground and often in wet grass - this is Scotland, after all! So far, after 3 weeks continuous use, my feet remain dry. The waterproofing failed at the seams around the toe-box in the previous pair after only about 18 months, hence the need to buy anew. Perhaps I need to spray them with something in due course? Advice welcome....
