PrimaLoft’s ThermoPlume insulation is a ground-breaking innovation in synthetic fill, which provides the looks, comfort and performance of genuine goose down; only free of animal products, hence the tagline Warmth Without The Downside.
The Icarus and Phoenix make up the ThermoPlume range, which consists of the standard Jacket, a Micro (hoodless) model, a Vest and the Flight model, which is specifically aimed at Climbers; with Ripstop outer fabric and stretch side panels, all available in a range of colours.
Montane’s Icarus and Phoenix jackets feature the new lightweight and fast-drying ThermoPlume synthetic fill in a water resistant Pertex quantum eco shell. The athletic mountain fit features articulated arms to aid freedom of movement, a brushed micro fleece chin-guard and a hood that can be worn under your headgear, all whilst remaining exceptionally breathable to help regulate your body temperature. The elastic hem prevents any spindrift entry; keeping up performance in wet and damp conditions with the help of stretch bound cuffs to ensure a snug fit where heat may be lost. The full length zipper on the front is paired with an internal storm guard to prevent weather entry and the two zippered hand pockets and concealed zippered chest pocket ensure your valuables are kept safe and clear of a backpack hip belt or climbing harness. The entire basic jacket weighs only 547g and is extremely packable, meaning the ThermoPlume line is perfect to be layered or worn as a standalone layer, and can accompany you on any outdoor adventure.
