Smartwool Cozy Flip Mitt

There’s not an awful lot to say about the Smartwool Cozy Flip Mitt. What there is to say, is that it’s a really cool and cooky accessory (with an awesome name).

The Smartwool Cozy Flip is a convertible glove; i.e. fingerless in style, with a flip-down finger cover that turns it into a mitten, which is in itself nothing revolutionary. However, it has been executed with typical Smartwool comfort, in a luxuriously soft, ‘cushion’ knit, and comes packed with plush detailing such as an engraved metal logo, stylish retro-look button (for pinning back the finger cover), and knit-in touchscreen compatibility on the thumb.

The Smartwool Cozy Flip Mitt: I was loving the marled yarn, texture and fit when I tried them on, & the ribbed, elasticated wrist cuff

The point I’m trying to get across is that the Cozy Flip Mitt not only has the textural and technical advantages of a Smartwool Merino product, such as excellent warmth, moisture management and odour control; but also that it looks cool, and has a certain vintage appeal that should transcend the divide between ‘outdoorsy’ and ‘high street’. When I tried it on I certainly loved the way it looked, fitted and felt.

The Smartwool Cozy Flip Mitt is a 48% Merino Wool, 47% Acrylic, 5% Elastine blend for the ideal combination of comfort, stretch and performance. It’s out in the Autumn of this year, and will accompany the regular Smartwool Cozy Mitt, and Cozy Glove, retailing at £24.99. Webtogs like it!
