The Montane Terra Pants for men are a serious 4 season mountain pant designed to be hard wearing, lightweight and comfortable. Montane have used a combination of Cordura, Tactel and Teflon fabrics which together create a comfortable, durable and water resistant mountain trouser. The Teflon helps rain and snow to bead and roll off the trousers while the Cordura shrugs off scrapes and scratches from the rigours of mountain life. Tactel is a nylon fabric which gives the feel of cotton but is much stronger and weatherproof, it has an extremely tight weave which also helps with the water resistance. The Montane Terra Pants are lightweight, quick drying, durable, comfortable and weatherproof mountain trousers ideal for any adventure traveller or mountain walker.

Abrasion Resistant garments are constructed from highly durable high-denier fabrics, designed for use in challenging conditions where garments are exposed to high levels of scuffing, scratching or rubbing. These garments will hold up to abrasion from rock, ice and sharp outdoor equipment better than those made from thinner, lighter materials. Abrasion Resistant

Rip Stop is a lightweight nylon fabric with interwoven rip-stop reinforcement threads in a cross hatch pattern. It's woven with a coarse, strong warp and filling yarns at intervals so that tears will not spread. The Montane Terra Mens Pants are the perfect length (I ordered the Long version) and it is a rarity to see manufacturers offering different length sizes in walking trousers. The trousers are light and well made with the extra flexibility of the long zips at the bottom of the leg. My only -ve point is the amount of pockets. I would have preferred additional pockets on the side of the legs.
