The Marmot Men's PreCip jacket has been core to the Marmot waterproof jacket range for a number of years and this season it sees a huge fabric upgrade in the form of Marmot's exclusive NanoPro coating technology which is 43% more breathable than the outgoing fabric. This jacket features a fully adjustable hood that fits tidily into the collar when not in use, two pockets that are clear of a backpack harness, and YKK armpit zips to keep you cool when working hard.
Garments with an Adjustable Hood feature draw cords with toggles or other adjustment mechanisms, to change the size and shape of the hood to better fit the head of the wearer. Such hoods usually adjust independently around the head, and around the face, for a snug fit and optimum weather protection.
Lightweight products feature lightweight materials and constructions to reduce the user’s load and aid mobility. Lightweight clothing products are thin and provide very little or no cushioning and insulation. They are best used for high-intensity or warm-weather pursuits, or employed as part of a layering system.
Pit-Zips are under-arm zipped vents, designed to allow the wearer of a waterproof jacket to quickly shed excess heat and improve air circulation, without having to remove the jacket.
Marmot NanpPro is the most technically advanced 2 and 2.5 layer coating available, offering unprecedented performance in a coated fabric with its dynamic air permeability and long term waterproofness. Marmot NanoPro is 43% more breathable than other coated fabrics available at the same price.
DriClime is a family of bi-component fabrics that works to wick moisture away from the skin, and then spreads it out across the outer fabric to accelerate drying. As DriClime works through the nature of the fabric structure it does not degrade or wash out over time.
DWR. Durable Water Repellent, is a coating added to fabrics to help add to their water repellency and shed water and snow more effectively.
YKK Zips are used for their robustness and exceptional quality. YKK uses locking teeth to create a barrier between you and the elements.

Great jacket for everyday use and for on the trail. Light weight enough not to notice but not too light that you're worried about it ripping. Good breath ability. Handy that it can pack down in its own pocket with carry toggle.

Delighted with this jacket. Have already been in summer rain on a warm day. I was wearing a t shirt underneath and I didn't feel clammy. It is extremely lightweight, hardly know you are wearing it. Only time will tell regards the waterproofing.

A good light weight jacket that repels rain but is perfectly suited for Aussie heat whilst it's thundering rain. Nothing worse than a rainjacket which makes you perspire incessantly during humid rain - almost defying the purpose of trying to keep dry in the first place
